Description:
"April 14th. Macià vs. Companys" is a television drama presented as if recorded in 1932, but using 2010 filmmaking techniques. The stars of a Barcelona episode from the 20th century recount the events of April 14th to 17th, 1931 – the three days of the Catalan Republic – in their own words. A documentary-style camera helps us relive the period, revealing the ambition and fragility of a move, partly improvised by Companys and refined by Macià, that resulted in a heated argument.
