Six high school girls in uniform walk silently across a desolate landscape. They are time travelers, sent 6,000 years into the future from a present where they are trapped in a repeating day, tasked with avoiding human extinction. Selected for their aptitude in time travel, they arrived in the future as planned, but now they are adrift, unsure of their purpose. Their only connection to home is a light, toy-like cellphone that receives no signal. As they walk, they observe strange birds and a discolored river. Eventually, one girl discovers an abandoned house with a familiar name on the gates.
*A mixed-media project by Iruma Hitoma, who wrote the novel, created the story for the manga version, scripted the anime, and penned the lyrics for the music.
