Description:
On October 17, 1961, thousands of Algerians in Paris and the surrounding areas marched to protest a curfew ordered against them, responding to a call from the National Liberation Front. The peaceful demonstration was violently suppressed by the police. Fifty years later, this film examines the event, a topic that remains largely avoided. Using firsthand accounts and previously unseen archival footage, it explores the unfolding events, revealing the strategies employed by the French government at the time: manipulating public opinion, consistently denying accusations, and censoring information to prevent investigation.
