Milk and Fashion (2007)

Milk and Fashion follows Tyler Ralstin, a young foreigner who journeys from rural Yunnan to Shanghai to live with his uncle Jack. As Tyler's caretaker, Jack juggles his demanding career as president of a cultural investment company with mentoring his nephew through the challenges of adolescence. The company is sponsoring an international fashion contest, where one of the designers is Yao Yao, a former ballerina pursuing her dream of becoming a professional designer. Tyler’s coming-of-age story and Yao Yao's pursuit of her ambitions become intertwined. Despite setbacks, Yao Yao finds support in Anna, an international fashion magazine editor who helps her remain focused on her goals.
