Description:
Shashi, Akbar, and their friends vow to reject dowry. Defying his mother, Shashi marries Sugandha Srivastav without accepting any dowry. He then arranges his sister Rama's marriage to Ravi Verma, whose parents, Goverdhan and Shakuntala, had not received dowry and are disappointed. They want Ravi to remarry so they can get a dowry and send him away. Goverdhan plots to harm Rama, but the plan backfires, resulting in Shakuntala being severely burned and hospitalized. Exploiting the situation, Goverdhan accuses Rama of trying to kill Shakuntala, leading to her arrest. Shashi must now use all his resources to prove Rama's innocence, as the evidence and motive appear to be against her.
