Description:
Ferenc Kocsis appoints Ilonka, a gifted fashion designer, as the new director of public stores. Ilonka’s friend Boriska, along with Daniel, a zealous worker, Klimke, a conservative salesperson, and Glauziusz, a conscientious bookseller, support her. Ilonka is initially reluctant to engage in conflict, even outside of work. But selfishness gives way to love. Meanwhile, the former manager spreads rumors that the new socialist store can’t meet demand. Relatives and friends fuel panic buying, creating mass hysteria. However, the new store withstands the customer rush until supplies arrive.
