I Am a Sardine (2004)

Takagi, a tired office worker, connects with Huimin, a Taiwanese woman, during a work event and finds himself increasingly attracted to her. Her sudden disappearance sets off a chain of events when dangerous people begin searching for her. Takagi learns Huimin is caught up in a criminal matter connected to a valuable porcelain artifact. With the assistance of a doctor named Saya, he pursues Huimin's trail to Taiwan, risking everything to find answers.
