Description:
Renowned lawyer Perry Mason is hired late one night to remove his client, Wilma, from her ailing grandfather Peter Laxter’s will, preventing her marriage to the questionable Doug. Grandfather Peter dies in a suspicious fire, leaving his estate to his grandsons, Sam and Frank, with the condition that their caretaker, Schuster, and his cat, Clinker, remain. When Sam threatens Clinker, Mason investigates and discovers Peter's death was not accidental, and the family fortune along with diamonds are missing. Schuster is found dead, and Peter’s nurse, Louise, is murdered using Schuster’s crutch. Circumstantial evidence points to Doug for Louise’s death, leading to a trial. However, Mason uncovers a surprising witness that dramatically changes the course of the proceedings.
