spidery (2002)

The film uses experimental visuals – combining original footage with colored filters, refracted through water and crystal – to distort and stretch the delicate movements of spiders and their webs. This creates the impression of a spider trapped in a tiny pool or suspended inside a projector lens. The soundtrack features Stockhausen's "Zodiac," a music box composition that suggests the spider's web is like a delicate musical instrument.
