The film explores the impact of the 1991 Gulf War imagery, which captivated audiences globally. Philosopher Klaus Theweleit argued that photographs taken from missile perspectives blurred the line between bomb and reporter. Furthermore, it became impossible to tell real photographs from computer simulations. This loss of authenticity meant the eye could no longer reliably witness history. Some believe the Gulf War introduced not new weapons, but a new approach to images, laying the groundwork for electronic warfare.
