Forest of Fantasies (2014)

Peter Rosegger vividly described his native forest – a landscape of breathtaking beauty throughout the seasons. Winter brought deep snows and wildlife like ptarmigan and deer. Spring offered refreshing streams and new life. Summer provided cool shade, alpine meadows, and playful animals. Autumn painted the woods with vibrant colors, and clear streams teemed with otters and crayfish. Though over a century has passed since he wrote of it, the most significant change is in the people themselves.
