Birth of the Hive Queen (2025)

Birth of the Hive Queen follows Amina, a transgender sex worker, through fragmented memories as she experiences an unusual and life-altering conception, leading to the birth of something new. The film mixes unsettling imagery, mythology, and science fiction to present a new way of understanding reproduction and family, outside of conventional norms. Surrounded by insects and dreamlike scenes, Amina transforms into a mother figure and a symbol, representing a unique vision of transgender creation, independence, and alternative ways of providing care.
