Born in Buenos Aires in 1943, Feinmann earned a degree in Philosophy and taught at the University of Buenos Aires during the military government of Juan Carlos Onganía. He developed his identity as an intellectual aligned with leftist Peronism during that time. Living in seclusion with cancer during the last military dictatorship, Feinmann drew a parallel between his illness and the paramilitary groups he feared were always nearby within his Buenos Aires home. "The Fugitive Cell" explores this connection, establishing symmetries between his disease and the ever-present threat of violence.
