Description:
In 1977, in a peaceful town in Hokkaido, twelve-year-old Taro loves baseball and listening to "Music Express," a popular song-request radio show. But Taro's life is complicated by a blood disease that requires frequent hospital stays. Despite the care of his aunt, a nurse, and the kindness of a young doctor and his father, the hospital feels draining. The hospital director, a music enthusiast, asks Taro to fill in as DJ on the hospital's radio. Soon, Taro finds himself enjoying the role, playing J-Pop in the director’s library-studio. He also meets Tamaki, a girl in a full body cast who he initially nicknames "the mummy" after a traffic accident. He later discovers she is a cute thirteen-year-old, and his perception of her changes.
