Rome, 1960s. As Italy's economy booms, Salvatore Ferri makes a spectacular entrance at the Florence Men's Suit Collection. He plans to launch his highly successful "Gran Cielo" tailor shop – the most famous in Italy – in America. Gran Cielo suits are known for enhancing the wearer's appeal and have become popular both domestically and internationally thanks to Ferri’s strategy of selling affordable ready-made suits. A U.S. TV crew arrives in Italy to film a documentary about him. Initially irritated by Ferri’s exacting standards, filmmaker Leonard DeLuca eventually connects with the man’s uncompromising dedication to his work, and becomes increasingly fascinated.
