Description:

In the pre-Civil War South, a plantation owner leaves everything – including his enslaved people – to his young son. Though the owner treated his slaves with decency, his unscrupulous executor abuses them, resorting to violence and plotting to sell the entire estate to flee to France with his mistress and the profits. The boy is determined to prevent the sale and keep the enslaved families together, so he must find an ally to stop the executor's wicked plans.
