Rui Carlos (2025)

It's summer, mid-1980s, and Rui Carlos spends his days with friends Maranau and Tomané, playing soccer and hanging out in their neighborhood. Rui Carlos fixes his old shoes and goes to borrow their neighbor Dona Olinda’s prized soccer ball, which she always lets him have. As the game starts, the usual neighborhood happenings occur: a dog wanders by, they take a lunch break, and spontaneous games break out. But when the ball gets a puncture, Rui Carlos is forced to deal with the consequences and the realities of becoming a young man.
