I Will Not Mention Your Name, Portrait of Ted van Lieshout (2012)

This documentary profiles Ted van Lieshout, the Dutch artist and acclaimed children's author, as he takes a significant risk: his first novel for adults tackles a highly controversial subject. "My Mister," an autobiographical work, recounts a radical event from van Lieshout's childhood – his relationship with a 29-year-old man when he was 10. The film follows van Lieshout as he collaborates with Arno Kranenborg, sharing the challenging process and conversations with family and friends surrounding the novel's creation.
