Foreign Root (2025)

Foreign Root follows a busload of migrants as they face the difficulties of being displaced and worry about what lies ahead. Ivan Dorn, who co-wrote and composed the music for the film, also plays the bus driver. He guides the group across state lines, dealing with border officials, while the passengers find comfort and resilience in music, stories, and their connections with one another. The film blends surreal imagery with a raw depiction of the isolation and anxiety of feeling without a country.
