Description:
Beethoven was a musician who overcame profound deafness and created many celebrated works. But the reality was that he was a rather unrefined and unhygienic man. This film tells the story of Schindler, Beethoven's secretary, who deliberately crafted the idealized public image of the composer. Feeling indebted to Beethoven for rescuing him from poverty, Schindler worked to transform Beethoven’s reputation after his death, presenting him not as a "vulgar and dirty old man," but as a "sacred and genius musician."
