Rolex Time was created for the Kunstmuseum Luzern exhibition. The title playfully connects Uganda and Switzerland: "Rolex" is also slang for "rolled eggs," a popular Ugandan street food – an omelette wrapped in a chapati. In the film, this dish is called "commando food," representing the food of slum dwellers. The story follows, among other things, criminals who grew up as street children and a Swiss tourist who becomes entangled with them.
