Field Sketches (2025)

Architect Peter seeks to rediscover his passion for design, feeling stifled by his successful but routine partnership with a college friend. Attempting to launch his own firm proves harder than anticipated, and a looming financial crisis forces him to sell his home, leading to the end of his relationship. With no ties left to the city, Peter retreats to his cousin's farm in Saskatchewan for the winter. His initial plan to live simply and build a cabin inspired by Henry Thoreau is quickly challenged by the harsh weather.
