Mudflow (2003)

Ahmet, a shepherd living in the mountains, loses his home, family, and friends in a devastating mudflow. For the first time in his 30 years, he journeys to Moscow to find his only surviving relative. Along the way, he encounters various people. A train conductor takes him under her wing, guiding him through the unfamiliar city. Despite his disorientation, Ahmet shares his kindness and zest for life with those who are better off. The film was shot in Alagir Canyon, near Karmadon Canyon, the site of a tragic accident that occurred just two days after principal photography wrapped.
