Description:
First Love explores themes of love, friendship, and pursuing dreams. This surf film follows three passionate young women from Phillip Island as they travel to Hawaii – a crucial step toward building careers in surfing. Seventeen-year-old Jess Laing has surfed with and competed against her friends Nikki van Dijk and India Payne their entire lives. All sponsored, they share breaks and live close to each other. Though distinct individuals, they are united by their love of surfing. However, an injury sidelines Jess, forcing her to trade her Hawaiian trip for surgery, recovery, and rehabilitation. It is her passion for surfing that helps her overcome the challenge.
