7746 Legajo CONADEP (2004)

Following Argentina's military dictatorship, which instilled fear and left many missing, the government established the National Commission on the Disappearance of Persons (CONADEP) in 1983. CONADEP completed its report, "Nunca Más" ("Never Again"), in 1984. In Mendoza, the commission received over 100 testimonies, but a statement from a former Federal Police officer initiated File No. 7746. This file detailed numerous operations, attacks, kidnappings, torture, murders, and robberies carried out by the Federal Police in the province. File 7746 provides crucial evidence for the Federal Court of Mendoza to prosecute those responsible for the province's greatest act of genocide.
