Description:
Brazil, 1978. Under a dictatorship, the nation embraces disco and the escapist world of "Dancin' Days," a popular television soap opera. Following a tragic event, Amanda, a wealthy woman who works as a prostitute and is devoted to the TV show, and her maid Dora are forced to leave São Paulo for Rio. Amanda hopes to visit the "Dancin' Days" disco, while Dora prepares to face a hidden part of her past. Their paths cross with João Paulo, a diplomat feeling alienated in his homeland; Vicente, a revolutionary, and his brother Pedro; and Caio, a teenager navigating acceptance as a gay man with the help of his friend Mônica. Both young men are captivated by disco and obsessed with "Dancin' Days."
