Wars (2001)

On a long-distance train, the restaurant car operates with a quiet, empty rhythm. Tables are deserted, and the staff move slowly, their actions unhurried. A waiter cleans his fingernails by the window, while the cook and waitress patiently wait. They communicate with gestures, their routine flowing smoothly without words. The only sound is the steady clatter of the train on the tracks, a monotonous yet calming rhythm that mirrors the forced lethargy of the staff. It feels like a ghost train, traveling without passengers. Then, as if awakened by something unseen, the scene shifts. The three figures begin cleaning and wiping, preparing the car for its arrival at the end of the line.
