Maren Eggert and Matthias Brandt star in this drama about a family struggling to build a new life, derailed by the mother’s mental illness. Martina and Stefan Schneider move into a new home after a challenging period, appearing happy with their son Daniel. However, Martina battles a mental illness. Their new neighbors, Evelin and Klaus Garbers, quickly become friends. Martina becomes convinced Evelin and Stefan are having an affair, and is thrown into turmoil when Evelin announces she's pregnant, believing her husband is the father.
