Slunovrat (2001)

Years after its premiere, the Hradišťan ensemble's program *O slunovratu* (About the Solstice) remains a popular work in music and dance. This fictional exploration of the year’s feelings and moods draws on local folklore, presented through Moravian folk lyrics and poems by Jan Skácel and music by Jiří Pavlica. For the television adaptation, Petr Hajn, Petr Vejslík, and Milan Popelka created an hour of visuals for each song, blending imagery with a music video style. Filmed over nearly two years in various Moravian locations and across all seasons, the program features well-known pieces like "Prayer for Water," "Carnival," "All Souls' Day Contemplation," and "Sonnet about Love and Blue Portugal."
