Description:
After 20 years away, Will Bastion returns home to bury his father, the former chief of the Ngati Kaipuku tribe. As the eldest son, Will is hesitant to take over his father's position, a role ultimately accepted by his younger brother, Kahu. Kahu leads a group of horse-riding troublemakers who cause chaos throughout the town, including damaging gardens. Under the pretense of rejecting a land settlement, Kahu makes a significant marijuana deal with dangerous city criminals. Will is forced to choose between loyalty to his brother and his father's legacy, upholding Maori tradition, and dealing with modern financial pressures.
