Film Club (2001)

This documentary reunites a group of former classmates who bonded over a shared passion for film as members of an after-school club. Started by an eighth-grade teacher hoping to share his love of cinema, the club drew a diverse group of immigrant students seeking to connect with their new home. The creative space offered a welcome escape from their surroundings. Together, they created a short, award-winning 8mm film called *Ohh Canada*. Twenty-five years later, the group reflects on their childhood dreams and the lasting connection they have with the teacher who inspired them.
