Turning in Silence (2002)

Jimin, a deaf boy, lives with his mother in a neighborhood slated for demolition. Unable to experience the world through sound, Jimin perceives vibrations – his mother's heartbeat, the rhythm of daily life, the movement of objects. While watching his siblings mourn a lost kite, he ventures into the city and, encountering the world, begins to perceive his own internal sounds.
