Description:
Nine-year-old Jin-su wants to be a boxing referee, though he doesn't know why he feels this calling. He questions his father, who has no connection to boxing, wondering where his desire came from. Jin-su seeks answers in the three uncles who were close to his mother: Seong-jin, Bi-chan, and Wang-gu. These men, who frequented the boxing gym their grandfather founded, embody the qualities of a good referee, and Jin-su learns their story. The truth comes to light on the day his mother announces she will marry all three of them.
