"Dirty Care" is an essay film filmed from a first-person perspective. Following the protagonist through martial arts training and everyday life across different locations – from a public restroom to the rooftops of Vienna at dawn, to a trailer park and a snowy landscape – we experience instruction and training in self-defense. The film explores the ways non-traditional women navigate patriarchal violence, striving for safety and agency. It depicts moments of empowerment, intimacy, resilience, and connection.
