In the summer of 1953, fifty young women from rural Canada traveled to London for Queen Elizabeth II's Coronation. Sponsored by Garfield Weston, they sailed across the Atlantic on The Empress of France, excited to witness Princess Elizabeth become Queen. Using rare footage, *Coronation Girls* begins with their initial journey, capturing their youthful optimism and sense of adventure. Decades later, the film follows the women as they reunite and return to London to relive their experience, revisiting familiar places and reflecting on its lasting impact.
