Little Flags (2000)

Cohen filmed Little Flags in black and white on the streets of lower Manhattan during a military parade in the early 1990s, editing the footage years later. As the parade's sounds fade, the film shows the streets becoming covered in litter, and the urban setting appearing increasingly ghostly and detached from the present. The film suggests that parades are not celebratory for everyone.
