Mensch (2025)

Ludwik Hirszfeld’s life mirrors the tumultuous first half of the 20th century. He was a doctor, scientist, and idealist who was repeatedly devastated by the events surrounding him, yet found the strength to rebuild. A renowned figure internationally but largely unknown in Poland, Hirszfeld was a scientist deeply affected by the world's divisions. He consistently chose a path of conscience, believing in the possibility of a better world. Despite opportunities to continue his career elsewhere, he remained in Poland. His experiences in the Warsaw Ghetto were profoundly tragic. Perhaps his most significant decision was his marriage to Hanna.
