Refrain (2006)

The film centers on two brothers. The older brother has a mental disability, and the younger brother is living with AIDS. Having been abandoned by their parents, they rely entirely on each other. The younger brother supports them both through his singing, teaching the older brother the songs he performs. However, the older brother possesses some religious knowledge the younger brother lacks. As the younger brother nears the end of his life, he takes his brother to the train station for a final look at their childhood home. He intends to take both their lives. But the older brother, fearing death, desires one last substantial meal. That evening, he prepares dinner for his brother. Afterwards, they bathe each other's feet, then make love until the younger brother dies in a moment of intense pleasure. The older brother’s act is his way of ensuring his brother experiences eternal joy in his final moments.
