In 1970, British urban guerrilla revolutionaries known as The Angry Brigade began a bombing campaign targeting a strange array of locations: the Miss World contest, a Ford factory, a cabinet minister's home, and the Biba department store. After a two-year investigation by the newly formed Special Branch, eight suspects were arrested. The ensuing trial, the longest in British criminal history, resulted in the conviction of four young graduates for the bombings. *The Angry Years* tells the little-known story of The Angry Brigade, featuring contributors Jake Prescott, a former member; journalist Paul Foot; and the Special Branch detective who led the pursuit of the group.
