Annie Breuer, a mother in her mid-thirties raising her two children, Lena and Tino, lives on the top floor of an old apartment building in Vienna's suburbs. She often questions her ability to cope with life’s difficulties, experiencing highs and lows. Sometimes, a persistent sense of darkness seems to envelop her and the world around her – at least, that's how Annie perceives it.
