The Unheard (2019)

In Potsdam, five candidates – Mr. Pohle, Mr. Domres, Mr. Hoffmann, Mr. Schneewolf, and Mr. Czajkowski – vie for a single parliamentary seat. Their campaigns focus on the concerns of rural communities, people often overlooked by the media and polls, who feel increasingly ignored. This story, told through the eyes of director Jean Boué, who has lived in Germany's most sparsely populated district for a decade, explores why rural areas seem to be losing connection with politics dominated by cities.
