As human activity threatens many beautiful surf locations, surfers are compelled to act. In collaboration with the Surfrider Foundation, TGR’s OUT THERE travels to surf spots worldwide, highlighting contemporary surfing. Through the perspectives of surfers and locals, the film explores the environmental damage impacting important surf destinations like Trestles in Southern California, surf areas in Southern Chile threatened by pulp mills, Teahupoo's increasing popularity, mainland Mexico, and the North Shore of Hawaii near Turtle Bay, among others.
