North (2001)

NORTH, by artist John Boskovich, presents Gary Indiana, a charismatic figure, reading from Céline’s novel of the same name. The novel details Céline's desperate escape from France to Germany during the final days of World War II. Projected behind Indiana are scenes from Jean-Luc Godard’s PIERROT LE FOU, while the camera circles him intently. NORTH is a work filled with a sense of darkness, magnificence, and insight.
