American Boy (2007)

Akua rejects Mr. Bob, a wealthy married man, desiring a single man who will offer her affection. Her mother's food stall is threatened when Mr. Bob plans to build a mall on the same land as revenge for Akua's refusal. His contractor, Charles, tasked with removing them, falls in love with Akua and proposes. She accepts, and he provides her with a comfortable life, including a restaurant, making her the center of attention. Akua becomes guarded, deterring potential suitors. One man, Edusei, becomes determined to seduce and impregnate her. The film explores the dangers of such individuals.
