Fritz is a highly promising young soccer player at a club known for developing top talent, attracting attention from professional scouts. He's the latest in a long line of players who have achieved this. Before a vital league game, Fritz learns he's caught the eye of scouts. However, the news doesn’t make him happy. He's been feeling increasingly alienated by the world of soccer, burdened by its homophobia and sexism, which have strained his friendship with his teammate and close friend, Elias. As he nears his lifelong dream, Fritz begins to consider abandoning it all. The film follows him through this pivotal game – from the final practice to the halftime talk and the celebrations after victory – a moment that might be his last.
