Description:

After his father's death, young David Balfour leaves his school to claim his inheritance from his uncle Ebenezer. Instead, his uncle sells him into slavery aboard a pirate ship. David finds an unexpected ally in Alan Breck Stewart, a staunch supporter of the Stuart dynasty, who helps him escape back to Edinburgh. Their paths cross again and again as they assist each other in avoiding the authorities. Though David remains loyal to the English crown, he witnesses firsthand the cruelty of its rule. Both men eventually confront their enemies.
