Description:
In 1998, the French government nominated a 260-kilometer section of the Loire River, including its surrounding parks, vineyards, castles, churches, abbeys, and prehistoric sites, for UNESCO World Heritage status. To capture the changing aspects of this cultural landscape, Strickland used "microcinema" to depict local people and environmental shifts, offering a lively perspective for the Loire Valley World Heritage website. These glimpses are compiled into a 27-minute film, *Allons-y Alonzo*, which explores a filmmaker's attempt to understand a place's essence and record its unique character. The film was created as a design prototype for the UNESCO World Heritage Centre website.
