Description:
The documentary follows twin brothers Mike and Chuck Rollins, both former addicts who now dedicate their lives to helping others in recovery. Having experienced addiction's difficulties firsthand, they understand the challenges of rebuilding after treatment, especially when returning to communities still struggling with drug problems. Through their organization, Gemini Reliance, the brothers buy and renovate abandoned houses into safe havens for people in recovery. Their approach has been successful, but maintaining sobriety is an ongoing struggle. HEROINOHIO begins as a look at these two brothers, but expands into a powerful story about battling addiction and the strength it takes to regain control of one's life.
