Description:
For the 60th birthday of Rosha, the matriarch of the Cohen family, her children gather from all corners of the globe. The story centers on Angelique, nicknamed "Freud" for her interest in psychoanalysis. Her siblings include a gay brother living in Florida with his partner and a sister married into an Orthodox family in Jerusalem. The family reunites in Sweden for their grandmother's birthday, but their mother is hospitalized with a severe, inoperable brain tumor. Freud, who rarely leaves home, is deeply affected by the news and unexpectedly begins an affair with a biker. She becomes fiercely committed to bringing their mother home from the hospital, determined that she should not suffer there.
