Buhera mátrix (2007)

The film opens with Geri reliving key moments from his past in a series of awkward memories, from childhood at Pioneer camp to his high school prom. These flashbacks show the humorous contrast between Disney and socialist traditions, debates over trivial matters like the ideal size of a horse chestnut hole, and a challenging initiation ritual. The painful culmination of his graduation is followed by a fast-moving portrayal of Hungary's history from the 1970s to the early 2000s, as seen through the eyes of a generation born in the 1970s.
